Universal Health Care Foundation 

Policy Associate | Middletown, CT | August 2025 – May 2026

• Conduct legislative analysis, track healthcare-related bills, and monitor policy developments impacting marginalized communities.

• Delivered 14 spoken testimonies and submitted 13 written testimonies on 20 bills related to healthcare access and equity, homelessness, gender-affirming care access, and immigrant justice.

• Develop advocacy materials, including policy briefs, fact sheets, and outreach content to support equitable health care access.

• Met with legislators and coalition partners to discuss policy priorities and advocate for equitable healthcare legislation 

• Facilitate meetings and contribute to public education by creating accessible, plain-language policy materials.

New Reach 

Advocacy and Grant Writing Intern | New Haven, CT | August 2024 – April 2025 

• Led legislative advocacy initiatives in collaboration with staff and program participants, including coordinating a 30-letter campaign to state legislators.

• Facilitated legislative advocacy workshops, supporting staff and participants in understanding the legislative process and contacting their representatives.

• Conducted bill tracking and developed advocacy and outreach materials to advance organizational policy priorities.

• Contributed to internal policy development and organizational change through leadership in DEI, Engagement, and Trauma-Informed Care committees, including training development.
